The Ministry of Education maintains an ongoing effort, Child find, to identify and locate children who may be eligible for special education services. Identified children go through the Special Education Process which is a series of formal steps which ensures the child's educational needs are identified and effective special education services are provided. The services are direct services such as instruction, related services such therapy or counseling, and support such as instructional aids, accomodations, and personnel development so they can better help the child.
